Liberal Jewish Temple of Coconut Creek

About Us
We are a dynamic, active, caring, Reform Jewish community with inspiring and spiritual religious services.

Our Mission
The purpose of this Congregation shall be to promote Judaism in all relations of life by means of public and private worship, by religious education, and through social and welfare activities which benefit the members of the Congregation, the general Jewish population, and the public at large.

Welcome
A Reform Jewish Congregation Welcoming Everyone!
As we meet twice a month, each service provides an opportunity for personal reflection, as well as, meaningful communal worship. Liberal Jewish Temple has been a strong Jewish community in the Coconut Creek area for over 40 years. Building connections take place through worship, socializing, and playing an active role in the community.

Whether you're new to the area, a snowbird, or want to find a place to worship, come see what we are all about!

Won't you join us for Shabbat Services?  You'll be glad you did!

History

- The Liberal Jewish Temple of Coconut Creek was founded approximately in 1982 by five congregants who lived in the condominium complex Wynmoor located in Coconut Creek, Fl.

-The founding Rabbi was A. Bob Ilson.

-The first president was Ralph Shuman.

-The first Sefer Torah was purchased through Rabbi Hollander of the Mt. Eden Synagogue, Bronx, NY.  The Sefer Torah was written before the war in Poland.

-The first location for Temple services was at First Church of Coral Springs.  The services were relocated to the Calvary Church across from Wynmoor off of Coconut Creek Parkway then to its current location - Centura Parc.

-Countless members have worshipped with us throughout the years.
